Founding member, Jackie McKie

Amicus Chambers are devastated to announce the sad passing of founder member and previous Head of Chambers, Jackie McKie, after a short illness.

We will all miss her so much as she was simply a lovely person, a wonderful friend, colleague and also a great barrister. So many clients benefited from Jackie’s wise, patient and kind counseI and were grateful to her. All of the judges respected her enormously and were relieved when she appeared in a difficult case, knowing that she would take a pragmatic and sensible approach, fighting what needed to be fought and making concessions which were appropriate.
