Amicus Chambers is a values based set of barristers specialising in family law.

We established ourselves in the year 2000 specifically for this purpose. The vision then, (which remains now), was a Chambers to provide a first class, cost effective family law service which is the first choice for Solicitors and their clients, and that can respond quickly to the fast changing legal environment. We are the only set specialising in family law on the North Eastern Circuit.

We pride ourselves on the ability of each barrister to act in the best interests of the client, aiming to spend time to explain the court process to them, which for many can be a daunting experience.

We consider it to be important that our barristers are skilled in the ability to negotiate, to resolve any outstanding issues if possible, but to conduct any hearing on behalf of the client without fear or favour.
